Minutes of Annual Meeting
July 14, 2005

Meeting call to order by George Cooke, previous minutes approved.

Robert Powell gave treasurers report which was approved.

Membership was reported at 336 members.

Marcus Waters gave a report on water flow. Reported lake was down 3 foot to accommodate the water expected from up stream and also to prevent flooding down river. Marcus expected the water to return to normal pool level by Sunday evening.

Sgt. Wade Law gave us an update on the activities of the DNR on the lake. Everything is going good with little problems. The Fourth they spent the majority of time directing traffic as it was the most they had seen. Continue to have a problem with jet skis, but are trying to deal with them with the parents rather than issuing tickets.

DNR Biologist I. B. Parnel gave us a report on alligators. The number on the lake are small compare to other lakes. The DNR will be allowing the hunting of alligators on the lake with 35 permits issued for the area. Further information sheets were distributed.

Ivan Williams the manger of the future marina gave us a update. They expect to open in the spring of 2006, with construction beginning September 2005. They will have covered boat slips with lifts.

Will have restaurant with a marina store and gas.
