Lake Blackshear Homeowners Association
Minutes of Quarterly Meeting
June 24, 2008

The regular meeting of the Association was held at Veterans State Park, Group Shelter #2.

Board Members and Officers present were Jody Slocum,  Linda Hardin,  Bob Davis,  Robert Powell,  Debbie Powell and Minamar Rogers.

The meeting was called to order by President Linda Hardin @7:00 PM.

The minutes of the March 25, 2008 meeting were approved as written.

The Treasure's report was given by Debbie Powell, Treasurer.

DNR report was given by Wade Law:
        1.   Minor injuries
        2.   Fewer drugs and alcohol use
        3.   Less boats, but more activity

Robert Powell filled in for Marcus Waters representing the Crisp County Power Commission:
        1.   Flow of water very low due to lack of water
        2.   Licensing has not been renewed
        3.   Weeds have been sprayed for the past three (3) weeks.  State has put back funds for spraying
        4.   Go Fish Ga. - Will have four (4) boat ramps and parking for 400 boat trailers
        5.   Fireworks scheduled for July 4th.  A $3:00 parking pass will be required
        6.   Buoy's -  Boats and high winds destroying them
        7.   Ga. gets alot of stolen boats.  All boats need to be titled

President Linda Hardin introduced Former State Representative, Johnny Floyd, Director of Transportation.  He reported:
        1.   Lake was full pool
        2.   Visitors bringing in revenue.
        3.   Looking for a large turn out for the Fourth of July
        4.   Highway #280 will be resurfaced - not widened

Linda reminded everyone that our next meeting will be our meal meeting being held on September 23, 2008.  No cost to members. No other business.  Meeting adjourned.
