Minutes of Annual Meeting October 10, 2006
The Board of Directors and
the regular meeting of the Lake Blackshear Homeowners Association was
held at Veterans State Park Group Shelter #2.
The Board of Directors met at 6:00P.M. with President Les Barnett presiding.
The main reason for this meeting was to discuss and make nominations for
Officers and Board Members for 2007. The Officers attending were President
Les Barnett and Secretary Wilson Hamlett. The Board Members attending
were Bob Davis, Minimar Rogers, Bucky Brookshire, Robert Powell, Billy
Williams and Chuck Wilcox. Decisions were reached and the meeting was
adjourned.
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. M. by President Les.
The Minutes of the July 11, 2006 meeting were distributed and approved
as written.
The Treasurer's report was given by Robert Powell.
President Les asked Wilson Hamlett to give the report of the Nominating
Committee. Wilson gave the report for the Officers and Directors for next
year:

The Officers and Directors
were elected unanimously.
Bob Mason, Assistant to the
Commissioner of Dept. of Natural Resources, gave a comprehensive report
concerning the status and future of our State Park and other State Parks.
No final decisions have been reached but it is under study at this time.
Marcus Waters, with Crisp County Power Commission, gave a report on the
lake. He reported that the water in the lake will be lowered starting
November lst. This will extend until December 15th. This will allow residents
on the lake to make repairs to seawalls, structures, and make changes.
He reminded us that permits are required for new construction, etc.
Marcus called on Steve Renfro to give a report on the status and possible
future of the Blue Hole which is located across from The Retreat.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned so that everyone
could eat. The meal was catered by White's Seafood of Albany. A delicious
meal of hamburgers, hot dogs with all the trimmings was served.
